Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.- Benjamin Franklin
An excursion is not just a pleasure trip; it enhances the knowledge of the students beyond the four walls of the classroom. To provide hands-on experience of the PBL topic, Methods of Preservation and Pasteurisation', Prudence Dwarka organised an excursion to the DMS (Delhi Milk Scheme) Plant, for the students of Grade-V.
The students intently observed the milk processing plant and took note of the information provided to them about the various varieties of milk, their fat content, its preservation and pasteurisation. The students also got to taste the delicious flavoured milk, prepared at the plant. It was a great opportunity, for the students to extend their theoretical knowledge with practical experience, which was something they thoroughly enjoyed.
